While I have never been a fan of ceiling fans, especially those with lights attached, I have come to appreciate their utility. My husband and I purchased an old house that does not have central air conditioning. We live in a mid-Atlantic state that get rather hot and humid for a few months each year. The ceiling fan really helped keep the kitchen cool, eliminating the need for an ugly and noisy window air conditioner. The high speed is sort of turbo charged, but the medium speed quietly cools off a good sized room. The color also coordinates well with stainless steel appliances.

I keep this fan on 24/7. After a year it is still quite and dependable. It is very "industrial" looking which goes well in my contemporary home.

We installed six of these fans on the sales floor of our large retail store with 17' high white, wood truss ceilings. Using 24" added stems, the fans not only work well, but look great! Having companion, separate, wall mounted variable speed switches allow different areas to have appropriate air flow.
My customers and staff are comfortable...and happy!
